Reading: Listen to chapters 1-3 of Flat Stanley. You should be ready to discuss the chapters and fill in our chart tomorrow.
Spelling: Put your words in ABC order.
Math: Play this graphing game to practice for our test. 
Religion: Watch this video on Holy Week.  Draw a picture of what stood out to you the most. Be ready to share tomorrow!

Reading: Listen to the story below for Presidents' Day.

Math: Can you build a log cabin out of pretzels and peanut butter? Measure how tall your cabin is in inches. Before you eat it take a picture!

Here are the assignments for Friday. Have a good day!
Reading: We have been learning about different landforms. Listen to the story on Volcanoes. Draw and label a volcano. Please be ready to share your drawing on Tuesday. I have also included a picture for reference.
Here is the link for Raz-Kids. Please complete at least 2 stories. You need to get all three green checks.
Math: Play the measurement games.
Pick 3 items in your room and measure them in inches. Write them down on a sheet of paper and return to school.
Religion: Watch the following video on the 10 Commandments.

Reading: We will be going over the story in Zoom. Our story is One Plastic Bag and can be found on 373. We will be talking about the comprehension questions found on 397. Complete the Wet and Cold worksheet from the packet.
Phonics: Do pages 145-146 out of the book. This is making contractions.
Grammar: This is a page out of the packet. It is on pronouns. Please compete pages 91-92.
Spelling: Write a sentence for each of your words. You should have 15 sentences. We will be taking the test on Monday.
Math: Do 7.10 out of the book. This will be pages 521-526.
Religion: Read 154- 157. Complete 157 on the bottom. Remember to write in complete sentences.

Reading: Listen to this story for Groundhog Day!
Spelling: Do worksheet 212/190 from the packet
Math: Complete lesson 7.9 from the Math book. It is pages 515-520. Play the clock game for 10-15 minutes. Practice the hour and half hour.
Science: Complete the worksheet Oh, the Weather Outside. It is numbered page 5 in the packet. You will need to cut across the bottom. Glue the weather using the clues. You will need to either write a clue or activity for the weather.
Religion: We are starting chapter 7. Please read 149-153. On 151 what rule is being broken? Write a sentence under the picture. Complete the bottom by drawing one way you pay attention at Mass. On 153 complete the bottom question.

Good morning! Please tell the kids that I am so sorry we are missing today and that we will make salsa on Monday. Here are the assignments for today. If you have any questions please let me know! 
Reading: Listen to our story My Food Your Food. We will take the test on Monday.  
To get ready to make our salsa watch the video. Keep notes on the steps they follow. Write on the steps in your own words. Remember to use procedural words: first, next, last. 
Spelling: Practice your words!  Your test will be Monday.
Math: Play 10 minutes on Canoe Puppies. It will review double digit addition.
Religion: Please make a nice card for Father Nathan thanking him for all he does. 

E Learning/Spelling

Happy Thanksgiving! I will be sending home the e learning on Monday. I thought it might be easier to send home a packet this time. I wanted to make everyone aware, I will be attending a funeral on Wednesday. I will return any emails as soon as possible. We will be having a Thanksgiving list for spelling words. There will not be a test! If you have any questions please let me know! 
The e learning assignments are as follows:
Religion: On the red heart write and draw a picture of how your heart felt after making your First Reconciliation.
Math: PW 51-52  (Must show all work for regrouping!)
Language Arts: Compound Words- 53-54

Here is the work for Wednesday. If you have any questions please let me know! We were registered for a virtual field trip for Vetran's Day. I am posting the link if you would like to watch it. It begins at 1:00.
Reading:  Please listen to our story The Legend of the Lady Slipper.
Spelling: Pick 10 spelling words. Put each one in a sentence. Remember to use capital letters and punctuation. Underline the spelling word you use.
Math: Play this review game on double digit regrouping.
Religion: Watch video 4 for Reconciliation.
Social Studies: Here is the link for the virtual field trip. It begins at 1:00.

Students are able to bring in a Halloween treat to share on Friday, October 29th! We have 14 students in the class. 

Parent Meeting

It was so nice to be able to meet with everyone for conferences! There is a parent meeting in the church on October 19th at 6:00. I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend!
